Been reconditioning the various parts of my aging Pentair pressure system (KK Legend) over the past year. Had some problems with the LA01N about a year ago, replaced the capacitor (original) and that seemed to solve it, but now having issues again.
Issue - Pump not working. Turned it on at the control panel (Hayward), light goes on, delay, pump turns on for a couple of seconds, then turns off.
Typically the pump runs for 1.5hrs a day early morning (before it gets hot out). Legend and all in pool hosing has been replaced/reconditioned, but the LA01N is original and about 11 years old. It sits under an overhang, so it doesn't get direct sunlight or rain. Seems a little hot, but they run reasonably warm, and it's hot outside (TX). My multimeter doesn't test capacitance, but I've rarely seen a capacitor that isn't "visibly" bad, and this one is only a year or so old (shouldn't have failed). It's also seems to "start", it just won't "run".
So, without ripping it apart, does anyone have any experience to offer? I'm assuming it's likely just old/seized/EOL and needs replacement, but would appreciate any insight.
