Pentair Intelliflo VSF Power OUT/OFF problem

I recently replaced my old pump with a new VS pump, Pentair Intelliflo. However, in the last 2 weeks, the pump stopped twice and gave the same error code F90052 and F90052 "Power OUT/OFF" (please image attached).

Once I reset the breaker, the pump works fine but I am worried there is something fundamentally wrong with the printer, any advice? Should I return the pump?

Thanks forum members.

ja,

Welcome to TFP... A great resource for all your pool equipment questions... :shark:

The manual says...

Power Out Failure
The incoming supply voltage is less than 170 VAC.
The drive faults to protect itself from over current. The
drive contains capacitors that keep it powered up long
enough to save the current run parameters. If power is
restored during this process, approximately 20
seconds, the drive will not restart until completed.

So, either the pump's drive unit is bad, or the power to your pump is intermittently low.

Is the pump wired in with other equipment that might come on while the pump is running?

Is the pump wired directly to a circuit breaker? If not, what is between the Pump and the Circuit Breaker?

More than likely the drive is bad, but it could also be a loose connection somewhere between your main panel and the pump, or a bad circuit breaker.

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.
