Pentair Intellichlor when powered off

I have a new pool and am running an IC 40 connected to an Easy Touch automation controller. I have noticed when the pool pump shuts off at the end of its daily timer cycle, the Intellichlor control lights stay lit and the no flow light is on obviously due to no pump running. I assumed the salt cell should power off when the pump shuts off but my pool builder says this is how it is supposed to function. Is this correct?

b,

If this is a new pool have them come back and wire it correctly.. If they have any questions, tell them to look at the giant label on the Cell's transformer which specifically states to run the power to the transformer through the Pump/Filter relay, just like James has said..

I am assuming that your EasyTouch has the built-in internal SWCG power supply, not an external one.. The external one has to be wired the same way, I'm just not sure there is a label on it..

Thanks,

Jim R.
