Hello,

Just upgraded my ancient IntelliTouch i9 with a brand new IntelliCenter Upgrade Kit (mfg date of 6/22). My setup is hardwired ethernet. I have confirmed I'm connected to the internet, Internet test passed. In fact, the hardware upgraded to the latest firmware over ethernet and i'm running 1.064. I'm able to connect to the IntelliCenter "locally" using my iPhoen with the IntelliCenter2 App but I am not able to connect to it "remotely".

However, when I try to create new account, the systems times out repeatedly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

After you enter your password you have to press TWO checkmarks (step 15 & 16) to get it to register.

The first time I did it I entered the password, hit the checkmark, and waited. Took me a while to figure out had to press the checkmark again.

Pentair does server maintenance on the weekend so if you are doing all this correctly you should try it on Monday.

If all that fails you probably need to call Pentair Support.

Thanks. I tried all the steps above. Maybe i'm a victim of weekend maintenance. I'll try it again on Monday.

Did you ever figure this out? I have same issue.

I experienced this yesterday with a new unit. Things that had to happen:

- date and time manually set to the correct values
- reboot the panel
- still failed, timeout error, found an email from pentair:
“We are reaching out to inform you that the password you entered for your new IntelliCenter system account does not meet our updated password policy requirements. Effective July Xth, 2024, all new IntelliCenter accounts must adhere to the following password criteria to ensure seamless integration with the Pentair Pool app.”
- changed my password to comply
- tried again, it failed. Figured out, I need to use the option to use existing account, that then worked.

I was banging my head against the wall for hours and it was only after seeing the email that I clued in it might be that

It might be what?

It might be what?
Sorry, it might be the fact there was an email sitting in my account from Pentair complaining about password complexity not meeting their requirements which might explain why the login kept failing.

I changed the password to something that complies with their requirements as per the email and the login worked immediately.

It is weird because I was using the mobile app to manage my VSF3 pump for months without issue but the Intellicenter was being picky about the password.

Vegasbeep is correct, I’ve ran into this problem twice now and it had to do with the password regex. It won’t prompt you that the password didn’t qualify. Try filling out the portal again and make sure the password meets the requirements.
