Background: Intellicenter version 3.002. Pool builder and pool school tech are not knowledgeable about this system and not helpful to set up. I'm thankful for this forum and have utilized it to help set up the feature circuits, groups and schedules. I have contacted Pentair support for this issue and they will be sending a tech out. They explained that I would liable for the costs if the programming is faulty on my end. Please let me know if I've not set something up correctly. I have one body of water, the pool. The pool contains both pool jets and spa jets that have an actuator (part# 521485).

The issue occurs which switching between programs.
Cl2 ON: Pool mode, 1850 rpm
Move Pool Water: Pool mode, 2800 rpm

Right now, I have Cl2 ON on a 24hr schedule. When I turn on Move Pool Water, this program works. When Move Pool Water is turned off, the rpm's adjust down to 1850, but the actuator goes to spa mode. The app (Pentair Pool) shows that the pump is off even though it is still on. The app shows that CL2 ON is on.

You cannot bend the IntelliCenter to your will. You need to fit what youd esire within the Pentair logic.

What is CL2?

Is Move Pool Water simply s higher speed skimming setting?

First thing is you need to schedule POOL mode 24/7 with the pump VS speed at the lowest RPM you want.

Then create Feature Circuits for the way you want the pump speed or actuator valve to change during the day.

When you have multiple circuits active the highest pump speed will win.

I think your basic problem is you do not have POOL mode running continuously on one schedule.

There should be no reason using Circuit Groups when a Feature Circuit will do.

Cl2 is pump speed 1850. I included an image of the feature circuits and assigned pump speed. "Pool" and "Spa" are the circuits that change the actuator.

How do I assign an actuator valve to the feature circuits? I thought I was doing that with the feature groups (images in original post)? Please let me know if there's a different way.

BLPT,

It appears that you only have one actuator??? Usually, to move from the pool mode to the spa mode it takes two actuators.

The intake and Return actuators are fix to the Pool and Spa circuits.

The A and B actuator ports can be assigned to a feature circuit.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Thanks Jim. Where should the other actuator be installed? Additional details: pool and spa are on the same pump. It's all the same body of water, not an actual separate pool and spa.

You do not have a real spa. Don't use INTAKE and RETURN.

Plug that actuator into Valve A and then you can assign it to a Feature Circuit and youc an control it as you wish..

The only actuator is on valve A (image attached in first reply post).

As of about an hour ago, the Settings in the pentair pool grayed out and I'm not able to get into then right now.

You have VALVE A assigned to the POOL circuit, yet you need to keep it running 24/7.

Create a Feature Circuit called SPA JETS, assign VALVE A to it, and then you can independently control when that valve turns. You can also assign a pump speed to that feature circuit so the pump increases when the valve turns.

Programming the IntelliCenter is much easier when you use the intellicenter2.com web site.

Thanks ajw22. I've used this website before, but I remember it listing Circuits at the top menu bar. I'm not able to find where to access the circuit details today. Features just lists them, but there's not anything to click on to edit them.

My system is still shut for the winter so I am going from memory.

You did not clip the entire page. On I think the upper right there is SETTINGS and you may need to go into ADVANCED SETTINGS or something like that to get into the programming pages.

You need to schedule the POOL On 12AM-12AM every day.

I don't think you need that CL2ON schedule under it.

Good memory! The aux circuits Pool and Spa change the actuator valve. I have them both program for pump speeds 1600 and 2850, respectively.

Just want to make sure I'm clear, My action items:
Schedule "Pool" 24/7.
Remove Pool Circuit from the Cl2 ON and Move Pool Water feature groups. Make these groups just regular features.

When I use the spa feature groups, it will change the actuator to spa because the highest rpms wins?

Are things working the way you want with that setup?

I don't think you should use CIRCUIT GROUPS at all. Feature circuits can accomplish what you want more simply.

I don't think you should use the SPA circuit.

Create a Feature Circuit called SPA JETS, assign VALVE A to it, and then you can independently control when that valve turns. You can also assign a pump speed to that feature circuit so the pump increases when the valve turns.

Everything you want done will be in POOL mode. Then use the Feature Circuits to change the way you use your pool.

That worked to transition between different rpm's in Pool Mode, THANK YOU!!!

I'm still trying to work out the valve issue. I'll have more time later this afternoon. Thank you for your help! :)

Keep it simple.
