Pentair Ic20 high salt flashing light

I started getting a high salt flashing green light today and there hasn't been any salt added for over 3 months. Light was always solid green up to this point.
I doubt the cell is dirty, it is brand new and just installed in June.
Pentair app salt reading is 4500 ppm (high), but I digitally tested the water and it is around 4200 (in range). Any idea what caused this? Water temp is around 82
so that isn't an issue. thx.

The cell's accuracy is about +/- 500 ppm, so the only thing that matters is what the cell 'thinks' the salt level is, not what the actually salt level is..

A salt level of 4200 is way too high for me.. I can start tastings it at about 3500 or so..

The cell's reported salt level will change with water temp.

If this were my pool, I would drain a little and add water to reduce the actual salt level... That said, running with a high salt light, will not hurt anything.

Thanks Jim. You are correct. I was trying to think what might have changed the salt cell reading and I ran the heat pump all day yesterday to get the temp up to swim last night. That must have done it. I will add fresh water tomorrow to lower it. Appreciate your input.
