Pentair IC 60 and Winterization

I recently installed a Pentair IC 60 SWG this year and am loving it. Obviously I am going to have to soon think about winterization and was wondering what other users were putting in place of the cell for the winter months. I plan on removing the cell and storing it inside for the winter but was wondering what other forums member have put in the gap for piping.
 
There is a “winterization” tube sold by Pentair that is the exact length of the IC unit and has the custom fittings on each end. I believe, like most Pentair products, it’s an extremely overpriced piece of PVC tube BUT it’s made specifically for the task you’re talking about.

Or you could just rubber band some plastic bags over each open pipe end and save yourself the money....
