Pentair Heater Control - Board connections

Attempting to control a remote pool connection to the IntelliConnect. A few items. The pentair 400 heater control board does not have Jmp3 but does have Jmp1. Also, what looks like the pool , common and spa connection for remote on or off, nothing is label with pin outs or letters. Thinking the board pentair installed on this new heater is different Revision than what the manuals revs are referring to. Has anyone seen this? Thinking jmp1 is the same as jmp3 mentioned in the manuals and the remote on/off for pool is just a contact NO that closes to turn on Heater to the last Pool Heater setpoint. As for pin out on the board, left to right, pool, com, spa?

REMOTE CONTROL CONNECTIONS
1. Switch off power to heater at main circuit breaker panel.
2. Unbolt and remove the access door panels.
3. Open control box cover (see Figure 21).
4a. To connect a 2-Wire Control (such as Pentair’s IntelliTouch® or EasyTouch® Control Systems) or a timer:
- Remove the factory installed jumper from the Fireman’s Switch terminals.
- Connect wires between the Fireman’s Switch terminals on the heater and the
relay. Connect wires from the controller or timer to the Fireman’s Switch.
Controller, timer or relay should be sized to handle 24VAC at 0.5 Amp (because
it will be completing the 24VAC control board circuit on the heater as shown in
Figure 22). DO NOT apply line voltage to the Fireman’s Switch terminals. Use
18 gauge wire with a minimum 3/64” (1.2mm) thick insulation rated for a
temperature rise of at least 105°C.
- Knock-outs are provided to route the wires through the bottom of the control box and past the junction box.

The inside of the door shows where the gas heater remote wires connect to the automation.

Look right above the orange sticker.

IntelliConnect, not intellitouch controller. Did some self troubleshooting and the board in this 400 is the same as the Sta-Rite heater, 42002-0007s board. That board external or keypad jumper is labeled jmp1. Wish Pentair would change their labels and manuals when they use something other. Now just need a 24ac transformer to move a actuator on the heater bypass valve, then good.

Also note, the latest firmware on the IntelliConnect, relays can controlled the pentair 5G LED pool lights with the select of mood lights. Nice feature.

All done today, finished the flex conduit run to heater. Four things controlled by the Pentair Link2O app. Intelliflo Pump, InteillBrite 5G lights (Relay One), Yard Lights ( Relay Two) and Pentair 400 Heater.

Heater on command ramps up pump to 2640 rpm and shuts the bypass valve. When heater shuts off, bypass valve opens to minimize flow to heater coils and pump returns to schedule.

Pump is set to two schedules, first is vacuum clean, second is low flow circulation from 1pm to 8pm (1175 rpm)

Cost was $305, IntelliConnect from eBay seller, Pentair temp kit $21 from eBay seller. $45 electrical supplies from Amazon. 2x Relays and transformer from Amazon , $100, intermatic pool valve actuator $100 Amazon. Time to install, about 6-8 hours.

Cons: WiFi link needs to be to an SSId that is visible. I personally like hidden and encrypted WiFi but no choice.

Longevity, time will tell.
