Im helping my brother with his pool equipment. The breaker box on the left was damaged. My dad and brother replaced it yesterday. After replacing the breaker box, the pentair box worked for several hours. Several hours later it lost power. We checked the breaker and power is going to the pentair box - 120 volts. The pentair box just isn’t turning on. Any ideas on what’s wrong? Could a power surge damage the pentair box?

Did you check that you have 120v at the EasyTouch transformer?

Did you check the voltage output from the transformer?

Is the breaker feeding the EasyTouch panel a GFCI? If so, some GFCI breakers have a built-in test mode that trips the GFCI after a press time and all you need do is reset the breaker and it should run normal. However, if the breaker is not a GFCI, your ET panel could've gotten surge damage. How did the original electric panel get damaged?

Look at where the black and yellow wires that power the control transformer are connected.

I cannot totally follow the black wire but I think one of them is connected to the wrong side of the relay that has power.

What wires do the power from the CB come into the panel?

I wouldn’t think the wires inside the easy touch panel box were connected incorrectly since we haven’t moved any of these.

They have wiring for 120v and 240 V shown. Could the box have been wired for 240 before and changed to 120 when the breaker box was changed?

I only deal with what it is now and what I see.

The violet wire looks capped off indicating it is wired for 240V.

I think you need to dig in and understand the EasyTouch wiring. The spaghetti of wires does not allow lots of help through the picture.
