Good day
I am new to forum and seeking advise on my Pentair easy touch system
The clock is not updating on the panel or the remote, everything else works. I can turn everything on or off with remote and at control panel. The only issue is the clock is not updating it is showing 1030 PM Sat. It has done this before, I could not figure it out and was not going to buy a new panel just for the clock. about 5 or 6 months had gone by and then the clock started updating again and I did not have to turn the pool and pool cleaner on and off manually. Then last night it did it again. No power outage nothing. I have reset all the breakers etc and it keeps blinking sat 1030 PM
Please help
Thank you

Nolan,

Welcome to TFP... A Great resource for all pool owning ex-ball players... :shark:

Have you tired to reset the time? What happens does it respond or???

Do you have the standard remotes or do you have ScreenLogic?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Nolan,

I suspect you are right, but I've seen ScreenLogic hang things up.. If this were my system, I'd unplug the Pentair connector at the Protocol Adapter and then see if the clock works at the main panel.

The fact the you can set the time and everything works tells me that the internal system clock is working...

Worth a shot..

Nolan,

One final thought and them I'm out of ammo... :p

Since you said the problem may be intermittent, you could try and flex the main PCB and see if it starts working. Might not fix anything, but at least you'd know what the problem was.

Thanks,

Sorry... Printed Circuit Board (PCB) or sometimes called the mother board or main board, or Printed Circuit Card...

It is basically the large circuit card that the little 3" LCD is connected too. It is attached behind the little drop down door at the top of your main panel.

Jim R.

Nolan,

The printed circuit card is made up of a bunch of solder coated copper and a ton of solder joints that connect all the parts together. Often one of these joints will have an intermittent open connection.

These open connections can often be made to show up under stress. In a factory they often use heat to induce the stress to find them.. Technicians will often twist the card or push on the card to induce mechanical stress.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Hello,

I came upon this forum/thread because I have an identical problem. The clock display on my indoors screen has been jumping around (i.e., gaining time) for a few weeks, and recently it just got stuck at whatever time I set it to. As a result, my equipment is not turning on per its schedule (unless I do it manually).

Nolan, were you able to resolve the problem?

Thanks.
