Pentair backwash valve/heater question

Hi,
I have a few questions about changing the plumbing setup on my inground pool.
I have an FNS Plus 60 DE filter. The filter has an old style valve that you pull up to backwash.
The valve broke on the outside and the whole connection to the filter has to be replaced.
The input for the filter is on the bottom and out is on the top. There is also a waste connection on the very bottom.

I would like to purchase a new valve. I see two valves on Pentair website.
One is the P/N 263081. The other one is the push/pull valve that I currently have. Any recommendations?

The second question is about my pool heater. I have a broken pentair minimax NT 250K propane heater.
It can't be fixed. I would like to purchase a new one. I was looking at Hayward vs Pentair. It looks like the price is the same.

I was reading reviews and it is 50/50, some people say that Hayward will not honor warranty if it is not professionally installed.
I was planning on doing the installation myself.

Thank you!
