Having trouble with my Pentair Chlorine feeder not consuming the Chlorine tablets I put in. The pool person I had come out and look at it basically said because my pump is variable speed and spends most of the day at low speeds, the Pentair feeder isn't designed for this, and I should replace with the Truechlor.

Does this sound right?

You should replace it with a floating tablet feeder that will add a bit of chlorine 24/7. Tablet feeders were designed for commercial pools/spas.
If you insist on using a feeder like that, the CMP Ultra VS is also designed for VSP use and is about $100.00 less. Pentair's models weren't designed for variable speed systems.

Thanks for your insight, how is CMP Ultra VS different from say the TRUCHLOR? or just a cheaper brand?
