My wife was sick and haven’t cleaned my pool since August I was real busy with her
I have a 8x14 3.5 deep fiberglass pool made by San Juan pools
It has a Pentair 3 way diverter valve that stopped working
Does it a have part number on it
I looked all over it and can’t find the number on it
Is the number inside the valve?
I what to order a rebuilt kit but need the part number
Thanks

MGA,

Show us some pics..

Most Jandy valves don't just stop working... Tell us what you mean by "stopped working"

Are these manual valves, or do they have an actuator attached that electrically moves them??

Thanks,

Jim R.

I was cleaning with my with vaccum connected into the skimmer
I was making great progress
Everything was working fine
Then I stopped took the filter out cleaned it put in back in
Turned on the pump and I noticed it would not prime all the way
Never happened before!
So basically I wasn’t drawing enough water into the pump
Then I went to turn the Pentair 3 way diverter switch it back and forth from main drain and skimmer and noticed a crack in valve by the handle and would not open all the way in either direction
Felt like there was leaves stuck in Diverter valve stopping from it from opening all the way in either direction
Then finally got it to turn all the way to the skimmer position and the pump wouldn’t prime
See photos!
Thanks Michael

MGA,

It does sound like you sucked leaves into the plumbing...

If this were my system, I'd remove the top of the valve and clean out the leaves.

Also would want to open the pump lid and make sure it is not full of leaves.

Then put things back together and see if it works.

Not sure where the crack is, but if it is in the body of the valve itself, then a rebuild kit will not make any difference.

Unless you actually broke the shaft on the diverter, which I doubt, cleaning it out should work.

With the AC power off, you might want to removed the pump basket and stick your finger inside the impeller area and make sure there are no leaves stuck in there.

Thanks,

Jim R.

It was all the leaves that got into the plumbing especially the 3 way
Took it apart took out leaves put it back together
pumps running like normal and the 3 way is back to working fine
I’ll have to get leaves out with a net
Cause there alot of leaves in the pool
I ran the pump awhile its all full of leaves so I will have clean the basket out by the pump and skimmer basket
Then I’ll knock myself with net to most the leaves out
Then run the pump
Now that my wifes on the road to recovery and the weathers getting nicer here in FL
I will clean the pool everyday not let the leaves pile up for 6 months
LOL
Thanks for the help
