Pebbletec finish shows lots of plaster and less pebble

Hello all,
Just had the pebble done today. There are lots of spots around the pool that seem to show much less pebble and a lot of the plaster. I was just curious if this is normal or not?
We plan to have them do a diamond polish on it tomorrow that will take off some of the rough spots as well. Any thoughts or am I over reacting?

If they get too aggressive with the acid wash and wash away too much palster to expose the pebbles then the pebbles can come loose over time.

I think for the longevity of your finish too much rather then too little plaster is best.

Your second picture shows plaster consistency that is not normal. Diamond polishing will not correct this situation. It appears that it was not mixed properly and should have been corrected at time of final troweling.

Just wanted to send updated photos after we started the water fill. PB says it can be adjusted with acid and brush afterwards. I haven't paid the last 1/3 of the cost so thankfully have some leverage.

1/3? Good you have that much held back at this stage! That is not going to fix itself with anything of the sort of his claim. I wouldn't give him the rest of the $$ till he either proved his claim to you or redid the job, whereas the latter is where this has to go, IMHO.
