PebbleBreeze finish

We are about ready to choose and apply our PebbleTec finish. I'm afraid PebbleSheen is going to be too rough on our feet and am looking for ways to get a PebbleTec finish that is not abrasive. We have been advised against PebbleFina because of etching and shorter life span. We've been quoted $25K extra to have the new PebbleBreeze finish on our 25,000 gallon pool, which the manufacturer says is because the application is so labor intensive. I was wondering if anyone could help us with some questions.
1. Does anyone have a PebbleBreeze finish and what are your thoughts about it?
2. Is there a way to add glass or something to the PebbleSheen finish to make it more smooth?

Plaster vs Pebbletec vs...?

I'm trying to figure out the best pool surface for my budget. I want it smooth, since my feet are VERY sensitive to rough surfaces. Is that regular plaster, or some $8000 Pebble upgrade? If I have to spend 8k+ just to get a slightly smoother surface, I'll just stick with what I've always had...

To answer question number two, nothing can be added to the mixture to make it smoother.
The size of aggregate will determine the smoothness of the finished product.
PebbleFina can have a smaller aggregate and glass than PebbleSheen added just before the final trowel (pics provide).

What did you finally decide on? I was considering PebbleBreeze, but the cost was too high to justify it.
