Hello- I am new to the forum. We have a Pebble Tec Pool with Black Pearl that is 3 years old and the last couple of years we’ve noticed white streaks. Our pool service company did an acid bath last year and the spots seemed to go away. When they opened the pool this year they were back.
Any advice?

Welcome Allegro...

What you are seeing may be calcium staining or may be result of using solid chemicals and allowing them to remain on the pool surface. To assist in finding a cause and a solution, TFP needs a full set of accurate test results from a reliable test kit. Pool store tests are test strips are not reliable. The two best options are the Taylor K-2006C or the TF-100 from Tftestkits.net. The TF-100 is the best value. Most would also recommend the Taylor Speedstir which makes testing more accurate and consistent.

In the meantime, move on over to Pool School and read up on the ABCs of Pool Chemistry, Calcium Scaling, and CSI.

Please complete your signature and include all of your pool's details. THIS link will guide you on what to include and how to post your test results.
