Good morning! I'm a first-time pool owner, just finishing up the construction. I opened early, got myself the TFP Pro kit, and have been having great results monitoring the chemistry thanks to the guidelines and experts on this site.
Here is my problem/question. Today, my PB came back to do the final cleaning before turning it over. I specifically told the guy NOT to add any chemicals, I only wanted him to vacuum and clean my DE filter. However, against my instructions, he added half a bottle (16 oz) of this "Poly 30" algaecide chemical into my pool. He says my FC was down to 1 ... I was like, I would have just added chlorine, and I told you to leave my chemistry alone!
Anyway -- 16 oz of this "Poly 30" stuff is now in my pool. I need to know from the experts here, what should I do about it now? Am I okay?
FYI, My most recent test results are as follows:
FC 3.5 (added LC to get to 6.0 yesterday)
CC 0.0
pH 7.9
TA 80
CYA 40
CH 375
Located in southern MA, forecast for 2.5-3.0 inches of rain today....
The water is clear, so I really don't know why the kid added this.
Please share your recommendations on what I should do... is this okay?
