Particles floating on surface

Hey guys. I am in my first year of handling our pool on my own. So far so good, but I just noticed these particles floating on the surface. Hoping you can see it in the attached picture. Any idea what it is or if I should be worried?

Pollen has been reported in the Northeast. Do you have pollen on other surfaces?
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.

Looks like pollen. Should filter out.

Pollen is a good bet. So is ash, if any neighbors upwind (or yourself) has a fire pit or barbecue.
