Dealing with a friends pump that isn't priming and think the issue lies around the impeller. Not clogged, spins freely but found today it isn't mounted securely.
The motor shaft it's supposed to screw onto, the threads of the impeller are a tad larger than the shaft. Not sure if it was always like this, or it bored out overtime.
Also, the PacFab Challenger pump schematic does have a Impeller Lock Screw, but it is missing on the pump. My guess is that since the Lock Screw is missing, the impeller had to fit securely at one time by being threaded on the motor shaft.
So my questions:
Has anybody ever dealt with the impeller not mounting onto the motor shaft? I'm thinking it's as easy as a new impeller but the PacFab charts for it are ridiculous as the motor on this pump is not OEM. They go into Full/Up Rated, and have lots and lots different diffuser/impeller sets.
