Hi TFP fam,
I made a decision to OB 3 months ago following the advice from a friend who did the same thing in 2019.
I am still very green, but the forums here and my friend have helped me thus far, but i still need some more guidance (to follow).
In the pic you will see the pool will be snug. Recently I got council approval to start digging last week, so I've begun locking in trades the last few days.
I guess Im passed the design and engineering phase and quickly moving toward seeing a massive hole in my tiny back yard. its starting to become very real! And i'll be honest i'm feeling the pressure now.
Anyway here are a few quick details.

Anyway here are a few quick details.
What I am building:
- 6m x 3m inground concrete pool w/ pebble crete finish
- 2m deep end - 600 shallow end
- 25,000litres (6k gallon) yes small!
- Thinking of going a VS pump partnered with a cartridge filter
- Plumbing will be in the walls (unless you suggest otherwise)

What I need help with:
- Best pump, pump size?
- Best cartridge and best size?
- How many returns and best placement?
- Lighting? How many? Placement? Recommendations?
- Water tile line necessary?
- In terms of excavation, could my pool be dug over the fence? I am on a corner block so access is okay. I can remove panels off the fence, but I am reluctant.
- Adding ledgers around the pool, is this an added expense?
- Steps necessary?
- Any and all recommendations welcomed!
