I am currently building a house in Virginia Beach and once the house is complete and we move in (likely late October timeframe), I plan to begin working on the backyard and pool area. I went with DIY Pools and Spas to develop the overall design and will then be my own general contractor hiring out subs to do most of the work. I got my preliminary designs back from them after roughly a week and overall think they look pretty good. However, I would like input from the TFP community to see what recommendations you may have. At this point, it's just a high-level design. The next step will be getting rough cost estimates and equipment details (they primarily use Hayward).
