We had our pool replastered mid September, so I've been playing the whole PH yoyo game. Three days ago I added muriatic acid and over shot (it was 8.2+) Readings last night were:

FC - 6.5
CC - 0
PH - 7.2
TA - 50
Temp - ~60 degrees
__________
Last week -
CH - 450
CYA - 50

This is putting our CSI way too negative; we're sitting at about -0.73
Should I wait to see if PH comes up on it's own? Should I adjust TA and/or PH? I have a little baking soda and washing soda available, but can always get more if I need to.

Thanks all!

Just let pH come up naturally.

Short term fluctuations in CSI do no damage.

pH will come up on its own. TA 50 is fine, just don’t let it drop below 40.

If you need to add baking soda to bring the TA up, Target 70-80

Don’t chase numbers for a perfect CSI. If everything is in range you should be OK.

Ok...I was just worried because of the new plaster. How long can it remain low like that before I need to worry and adjust it?

Thanks!
