Ordered SnowJoe 50lb CaCl. Received a random brand

Hi folks. Just opened my pool and need to add in 50 lbs of CaCl to increase the calcium hardness.

I ordered a 50lb bag of Snow Joe CaCl (94%) from Home Depot and have been pleased with this in the past.

The product arrived today and appears to have been drop shipped directly from snowjoe.com.

Except when I opened the box, the SnowJoe brand was missing. Instead they sent me a 50lb bag of “Winter CaCl”, 94% minimum. Made by TCI Sanmar in Egypt.

There is no info on the bag other than some warnings as well as an email address [email protected]

Googling produces nothing.

Should I use this stuff as an unknown brand even though it is supposedly 94% pure? I’m thinking no.

Thank you! I did search for 10-15 min before posting but didn’t see anything. But searched for “Winter CaCl” and wintersnow.com

@mknauss Third! I sent it back and found of the TFP recommendations at the local pool store for $5 more. Glad it worked out!
