Have a question for any water expert. My wife and I build a new house last year about an hour south of where we used to live, the place we sold had great water. My biggest fear moving was how the water was going to be when the new well was drilled, well it turned out to be not so good. Filling the pool the water looked clear but as the days have gone by it has turned to orange kool aid color, there isn't enough water in the pool yet to start the pump to filter it so I am wondering what I could use now to help clear it up. The water in the house does stain the toilets and sinks so I am going to look at a filtering system and will get it tested but need help with the pool. Thanks.

Obviously you have iron, and apparently a good content. For now as you are filling you might try running the water through a bucket with polyfill, then continue to circulate water through a bucket and/or with polyfill in the skimmer. It's important to filter as much iron as possible now.

That looks like my water!! I saw at a store a chemical that eliminates iron would that hurt to put that into the pool, its just well water so far I haven't did any testing yet.
