Hi, We had our gunite pool resurfaced with a dark gray pebble last year, but the waterfall wasn't updated - so the water color is a different from the waterfall to the pool. Someone suggested using cement stain on the waterfall. Has anyone done this before? Is the waterfall made of cement or plaster - or are they one of the same?
I came across these stains on homedepot. Is this something that would work? Thoughts on whether this is pool safe?
Thanks in advance! Patty

Patty, why would you want to darken it? I think that it looks great as is, I would assume that it looks like a natural water supply is filling your pool? Could you post a few pics with the waterfall on, so we can see what you’re referring too.
Thanks.

Hi Rob, not sure if it's clear in the pic I posted in my original post, but the water in the waterfall pools looks brown due to the color of the cement and the water in the pool is dark blue. I'd like the colors to be closer in hue. It's definitely a minor thing, but I think it would look more cohesive if the colors were more similar. I've attached a new photo which shows the empty waterfall pools (I just emptied them). When they are filled, they are the same brown/tan color. Thanks for responding!

Ahhhh, I got ya now. ;) I was thinking you wanted to change the color of the whole thing.
Anyhoo, I would think you could stain that any color you want. You could also add colored gravel or stones to change the look too.
