Good morning Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well, stay and enjoying their pools. I have a quick question and looking for opinions.

If a person didn't want to open or maintain their pool this season what are the ups , downs and opinions to be safe.

1. leave pool as is ( but worried about algae and wrecking the liner?)
2. drain pool and leave it empty until winter?
3. install timer and salt water gen ( only have check once a week type deal ?)
4. hire a pool guy
5. open pool, clean it (shock) and put cover back on. how long could this last or not smart?

any opinions or options?

Please and thank you
Joe

Well, option 2 is bound to destroy the liner

Option 1 and 5 are basically the same thing. Both are going to end up being green monsters with probable liner damage

Depending on the pools appetite for acid, you may get away with option 3

Option 4 will work, but expect to drain a lot of water as the pool guy is going to float pucks.

So, 3 or 4 would probably work.
