Hi! Just checking in. I've neglected TFP since I closed the pool in the fall. We have had such miserable weather this month so I was not motivated to open early. Today the sun was shining. When I got home from work at 6pm I decided it was the perfect time to start the opening process. I got the cover off. The pool water was NOT as clear as past years... Millions of worms and sort of a swampy smell! I am in the process of draining the water, as it was level with the pavers. Used the shop vac to try to get the RV antifreeze from the lines. Put the plugs back into the equipment. I got the equipment running but ended up turning it off for the night because I want to keep an eye on it to make sure nothing is going to go wrong.

Plan for tomorrow:

1) Keep draining to reach right level
2) Install return eyes
3) Equipment on to filter/circulate
4) Robot
5) Test some water and see what I need to do. Could be a SLAM in my future

Hope you have all been well. Looking forward to hanging out on TFP for another pool season.

Welcome back SIS !!!!

Let us know how we can help. :)

*worth noting :

It gives me some serious warm and fuzzies to watch folks go from 'oH nO i CoUlDn'T'....... to 'Meh, I have an hour tonight, I think I'll open the pool'.

Rodeos 2+ are a joke.
