Opened my pool a week earlier than normal

We had unusually hot weather here in Michigan, so decided to open my pool a week earlier. Glad I did. algae was just starting to grow 4-5 inches from waterline up. Brought up to SLAM chlorine, brushed it and today it is already clear, can see the bottom of the deep end, and it is looking good! Just need to run the robot vacuum a couple of days and sweep up a small amount of dead algae and other dirt that accumulated over the winter.

Once again, the TFP tactics make my pool care so much easier than if I followed traditional methods!

Love how easy TFP makes pool care!

Especially since you have seen algae, maintain the SLAM chlorine level until no loss overnight, it's not a one and done ;) (future search reference tip) :D

Hey Kim! Thanks!

4 days in the water is perfectly clear. OCLT passed with flying colors. Little Dolphin is working his tail off every day to clear the debris at the bottom. All in all the easiest opening yet!

Unfortunately, I am out of CYA tests. I am estimating my CYA at 30-40 based on yearly drain and refill loss (refill is by snow melt and rain fall). My local old school pool store that carries the Taylor tests is awaiting a shipment. Owner said a lot of things are being waited on. That's the only reagent I am out of at the moment.

Bring on the summer weather! :) (Supposed to be 91 here tomorrow, the 57 on Sunday! Ahhh, Michigan weather.)
