OPEN in PA - woohoo! First time opening to algae though…

Hi all! It’s been a long winter and I am so thrilled to have opened today! However, this is our first year opening to algae. After talking, we realized we forgot to put algaecide in at closing

But luckily, everything opened / started without issue. So I’ll run for a good 24 hours and start the testing and adding process. Will likely have to grab some actual chlorine for a while until the SWCG kicks in when temps warm up.

Yes! I thought I had a big container of chlorine from the pool store from last year, but it was just an empty jug. So I’ll run tomorrow and begin.

Wal-Mart should be stocked with fresh LC. They had mine out with the clearance valentines stuff. It was teens degrees out and i was checking out the new Aiper robot displays.

Cold water slams are way easier than when the algae is exponentially growing in the summer.
