On ground pool with underground piping???

Hello. I'm new here. We are having an on ground pool installed on 7/21. Super excited. I was planning on having the pump amd filter close the house by our GFCI outlet which is near the patio. I have a few dogs and worry about them running past and knocking the hose loose or off and losing water. It'll be 18x33 oval. My next thought was to have the pump and filter right near the outlet and connect it to a pvc pipe tho go underground near the pool and then come out at the far end of the pool then connect to hose at pool end. I hope this makes sense. I figure my yard is gonna be torn up anyway what's it gonna hurt. Does this sound feasible? Any better suggestions of its not? Thanks

It's a great idea because using the PVC will far outlast any flexible pool hose that one typically uses when the pump/filter are right next to the pool. Good luck!

I don't see a problem at all with doing that. I would incorporate PVC unions into the mix so that you can disconnect your equipment and blow the water out of the lines when closing your pool for the winter. You don't want to open the pool in the spring and find that the PVC underground has burst and you need to dig it all up!

how far would it be for the run from pump to pool? Any extra plumbing will reduce your pump efficiency.
also a single speed pump will make some noise, our pump for our on ground pool is oppisite of the house and on the oppisite side of the pool deck.
running wires underground to the pump by the pool would be better in my opinion

I did this 3 houses ago. I tied into my gfci plug outside the back door and buried flex conduit for power. It was much easier to work with. The flex hose worked since return and skimmer are closeby pump, but I did bury it with dirt/mulch to keep sun off it. The pump and filter are both just to the right of the skimmer you can see in 1st pic. The biggest issue I had was the installers did not clean bottom area well enough and put enough fine sand down for pool bottom....it's not good feeling rocks or roots under your feet and under the liner. A round pool will not have the support beams on the side like this one has. Here's some pics....can't believe I still had these on my pc after 15 yrs. Notice the CYA sock hanging off the stairs.
