My heater went on by itself this morning. I turned all the breakers in the controller off, and then on, but it started up again. The controls and the app show it as off when this happens. Any ideas why?
Check the 2 wire control wire between the Raypak heater and OmniPL. The OmniPL simply closes a low-voltage-relay (LVR) to close the circuit and tell the Raypak to run.
Check the wire with a multimeter and see if it is shorted.
Disconnect the wire from the OmniPL and see if the heater still turns on by itself.
Use a multimeter to check continuity of the wire and LVR.
Thank you both for the information. For the time being, I simply turned the heater toggle switch to "off". Only use it for the spa, and since firing it up requires a trip to the equipment pad anyway, it's no big deal to flip the switch back on. When I get a chance though, I'll follow ajw22's list to see if something is wrong with the equipment or if it is the app.
