Hello, I was hoping you could help with this situation since you seem well versed on the subject.

Brand new system installed in May 2018, the Ominlogic display is reading a salt level of 2550 (60% SWG), the vsp pump is running at 50% and the actual salt level is at

3300-3400 and the Chlorine is in range as per the pool company tests. It's possible that this normal but I'm not thinking so.

Pool company has changed the cell T3 (15000 gal) with no change so they put the original one back in, they blamed the omnilogic. Can you tell immediately if it's ok, does a

new cell need to run overnight?

Cell T3 Hayward:

Cell is clean.

Instant: 2400
Avg: 2500
Volt: 28.97
Current:3.5
cell: T3
Polarity: K2

My guesses would have been:

1. Inaccurate independent salt test (are they using strips or the Taylor drop test?)
2. Wrong cell size in the system (although it appears to match)

If neither of those ... then I am not sure.

As you may have found me posting, when I first installed my Prologic, it always reported a salt level 600-800 ppm lower than what my Taylor said. Confirmed the cell was fine on another pool. Just went forward knowing there was this discrepancy and bumped the salt level up so the SWG would be happy.
