Omnilogic MSP

Hi folks

I just installed my Omnilogic this week. Got everything automated except the heatpro heater (still no clue how it wants me to wire the J23) nor my Aquavac 6.

The problem im really interested in is, why the Hayward app says "MSP ID Already Registered To Another User." I bought this unit new and paid the brand new price for it. Hayward support doesnt field calls on weekends.

As it is, everything works except my ability to use the app. Anyone know if this is something i can get past?

PS Anyone know how to wire a Heatpro 140k to the omnilogic?

You have the round Heatpro or square Heatpro?

I think you have to call Hayward during the week to straighten out your MSP ID problem.

Where did you buy the Omnilogic box from?

For the heater, you need to connect one of the low voltage relays to the white wire and orange wire in the heater. You then need to set the heater to BO mode. The instructions to do this are in the OmniLogic install manual.

In this unit, the white and orange wires power the fan. I attempted this for a moment and the result was an operating compressor and an inoperative fan.

Connection for the square Heatpro is shown on page 11 in https://www.hayward-pool.com/assets/documents/pools/pdf/manuals/Heat-Pump-Owners-Manual.pdf

You do the 2 wire connection to the Omnilogic as described on page 15 in https://www.hayward-pool.com/assets/documents/pools/pdf/manuals/omnilogic-hlbase-install.pdf

Do you have orange/white wires like shown in section 3 in https://www.totallyhayward.com/techservices/attachments/Technical Updates for Pool professionals May 2020.pdf

Post pics of the connection block in the Heatpro if you need more help.

On the wiring diagram they show you the hookup point and call it Optional. They are the yellow wires with connector clipped together. The OmniLogic relay acts as the clip to turn on the heater.

See where I labeled in red below…
