Hello, I have an old Intermatic timer. Pump works but the timer quit turning. The original motor was a Intermatic WG1570-4. I replaced with a WG1570-5 which Intermatic said should work, it is just an older version of the latest WG1570-10D. The -4 and -5 both indicate 125V and 60Hz. The -4 states 3W, the -5 does not have any label for power. I swapped with the new -5 and I see some gears turning, but the gear that would turn the timer is not moving. I thought I was careful with the wires, but is it possible I swapped the motor wires? What would happen were they swapped? Or could it be something besides the motor itself. I believe it to be a T100 series, but not sure which and the box it's mounted in has a label on the inside of the door for Freeze Sentry Model PF1102T. Any insight would be appreciated - I don't want to just try swapping the wires and possibly destroy the new motor.

Welcome to TFP!

For an additional $20-$30, you can replace the entire timer.

If the new motor is turning some gears but not others, chances are the timer is shot.
