Howdy,
I'm new to TFP. What I great resource!

Gathering information to change automation to a Pentair Easytouch w/ Intelliconnect PSL4.
Current pool has a Jandy Aqualink 8 with iaqualink 2.0. Not nearly as functional as the prior pool with Pentair Intelliconnect.

I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.

Pentair Easytouch w/ Intelliconnect PSL4.

I suspect you mean an Easytouch 4 with Screenlogic. Please do not get the PSL4. The L stands for Light. It is not good. Really limits what you can do with the Easytouch.
The newest automation is the Intellicenter. If installing new, that is the system I would install.

Like I said, do not get the L version. Very limited in what you can do.

Pentair IntelliCenter i5PS Kit - Pool and Spa with Load Center

Better is the one with integrated SWCG. You would need the IC40.
