I'm at a crossroads with my patio remodeling. Trying to decide if it's worth it to keep this old diving board or remove it. The board itself needs to be replaced. It's an old aquaboard but after contacting SR Smith they said a direct replacement is their Fiber Dive board.

As far as the U frames are concerned, the front frame has either settled causing it to lean ever so slightly forward towards the pool, or it was installed like this deliberately to create an angle. I really have no idea. SR Smith said as far as u frames are concerned, they recommend following their directions and stated it should be straight. I understand their position and of course they can't deviate from what they normally recommend.

Personally I feel if the concrete is secure and don't see a problem with the angle but are there any builders here that see a huge problem with this?

On the other hand, part of me says remove the whole thing but then I'm stuck with the ugly junction box right in the middle of brand new pavers. I suppose it's possible to relocate the junction box but I need a new light and have to run new wire and conduit because if I recall correctly, no splicing is allowed on the light to extend it?

When they compacted the ground for my first patio, they lowered the front U frame in the process. I secured a 2x3 to the rubber bouncer thingie to make up the difference.

You have easy access to yours to set a new front stand.
