Okay to run chlorine a little high?

Working to lower TA, adding acid once I hit 7.8 ph. Will check cya again.

Target for SAlt pool was. FC of 5ppm, okay running a little higher in the summer?

Yes, a little more chlorine is always better than being too close to minimum. I have run my CYA at 80 and my FC 8-9, 12 if lots of people are swimming, the last couple of summers and my pool is much easier and more stable. After a bunch of swimming yesterday my FC unexpectedly dropped from 10 to 7 overnight. Did some varmints visit? I don't know. If I had been at target of 6 I would have been dangerously close to min of 4 or under it.

Yes, it's fine. Your CYA of 65ish rounds up to 70.

It is safe to swim as long as the FC is below shock of 28.
