Ok to brush before running pump?

Our new pool was plastered and filled yesterday (combination of delivery trucks and tap water).

Pool service company coming Monday morning to start pumps., etc. right now nothing is on and nothing had been added to the water.

my question is should I be brushing already today or wait until tomorrow when the pump is running ?

I had the exact same question when our pool was finished. I called Pebbletec and they said to start brushing right away.

You should be brushing twice a day for the first 2 weeks. And then once a day for the following 2 weeks. Then you get to relax and brush once a week!

Helpful hint, if you haven't heard already: a "whale tail" on your brush will make brushing--especially of the walls--easier and more effective.

Good tip. I got one of those, and agree it makes it much easier (particularly on the walls), the floor brushing difference seemed less material.
