Offline Chlorinator question

I have a SWG, so I am asking for a friend....

Looking to replace his broken offline chlorinator with a Hayward, or Jacuzzi brand. His current one is an off brand.

Do the threaded in and out holes for the flexible black tubing have a standard diameter as this would make for a 10 minute easy replacement.

They are "usually" standard pipe threads.

You can "usually" make it work directly or with plastic reducers from the hardware store.

Not guaranteed to work!

thanks guys. yes, it fit easily. they seemed to be standard 1/2” (maybe5/8”-couldn’t tell with naked eye).

probably could’ve done it in less than 10 minutes, but it took an extra 90 seconds to wrap the teflon tape.

this was a very simple replacement. so, while the jury is still out in the inline or offline being the preferred type, chalk one up for offline .
