So I had a container of this product sitting around.

Water Lube 1.75 oz Jar Lubricant and Sealant for O-rings and Gasket WLB-1 | eBay

Wasn't entirely sure if it was really ok for pool O-rings so tried to google it for the ingredients. WARNING! Do not use "Water Lube" as a search term!

I am going to go ahead and use it since I am far from town and need to put the pump basket back together, but let me know if it is not good so I know for next time.

I only use -

Accumetric Boss 02583CL10 820 Pool & Spa 5.3oz Silicone Lubricant 82000

Well, I have worse problems now. Decided to go ahead and do a deep clean of my sand and the darn (I used harsher language) stand tube came out with the top valve thingy so now I have to find some clean buckets to put my sand in so I can reassemble. Why do I do these things to myself? (there was a lot of gunk and mesquite leaves stuck in there so it seems to have needed it but I bet I could have skipped it until the pool actually dies in the next year or so)

Spread a plastic tarp or an old shower curtain out. Then clean out a shop vacuum. Then place shop vacuum in wheelbarrow. Suck out a bunch of sand, push over to pile, empty it out. When you're ready to refill, cap the standpipe with a plastic cup or some duct tape, fill the tank up to at least the laterals with water, and start shovelling the sand back in.

Ooooo a tarp! Great idea! And there is a shop vac around here somewhere too! Of course it is supposed to start raining today but that would even be worth driving to town for new sand altogether!
