O/B Pool Henderson Nevada..

Tile Choices.. I really like these glass tiles, I also have gotten a huge discount on them. Under $6 per sqft. The only thing about them are that they are smaller than what I like ( 2"x1" & 1"x1/2" ) and and the way that they are cut. I'm wondering if the shape will create issues for grout during install..

Thoughts?

Those are VERY pretty! You going to need to think about how the grout is done. Do you want it to be level with the top of the tile or do you want it to be "concave" between the tiles? Both will work good. I would play with a sample to see which one we you like the best. The color of grout is really going to come into play as well. Oh and the mortar as well.

The person to talk to about the install is the person doing it. Are they comfortable doing the way you want? Have them show you how they will do it and go from there.

But man those are pretty!!!!!! Hoping you make them work!

Quartz finish - Colors = Midnight Blue, Barbados Blue, or Tahoe Blue. As of right now.. My only concern is that going that dark with color I will have fading issues....

I"m open for any and all suggestions on colors or finish. Pebble finish is out, the wife just does not want it...

Ok let’s go back to umbrella inserts, 5””in or 7””in ? Would 5” be enough to secure an umbrella in the pool or would 7””in be just right?

I think 5””in would be fine but wanted an opinion from those who have done it..

Woo hoo! We’re tiling buddies... ours started on Friday. Those thin strips of flexible wood - we had those put down too. Are they to slightly slope the coping away from the pool? I wasn’t home, so couldn’t ask. Was watching them at work on the security camera. Can’t wait to see those amazing waterline tiles of yours in place.

Yea bro me either...

I bought them at master tile and it took the wife and I almost 2 months to come to an agreement..

Our choice was easy as our pb doesn’t like installing glass tiles and we hated every other tile in the shop that we were told to go to. Ours are neutral and I’m thinking may be too bland. No going back now though. Hoping our water will be our feature.

So now I’m pretty upset and disappointed. The sitting area in my pool has jets. The Issue is the spa jet manufactures don’t offer a jet with an angled face to match the angle of the back rest in my sitting area so now the Jets do not sit flush to the slope of the back.

I would be upset too. Not at all what you were expecting. I have no idea if there’s a solution but bring it up with your pb and see. I guess it might come down to whether you can live with it or not. If not, now would be the time to cover the holes and forgo the jets. If you can live with it then you might like to think of it along the lines of it’s better than no jets at all. Make sure you do your own research to be 100% certain the jets you need don’t exist. Someone here may have a work around for you. Good luck. It will work out and you will be happy with your pool... that’s what I keep telling myself!
