Apollo Beach, Florida
Have grown up with in ground pools, cement and liner types, sand filters and single speed pumps. Moved to Florida and pool is odd shape kidney, three to eight feet so approx 20,000 gals. Pool now has a pentair sta-rite intellipro vsf pump, iChlor 30 salt chlorine generator, intellibrite 5g color light, Hayward sand filter, and a built right BR135 heat pump. This was all new in December 2019. We originally were set up with Link₂O to run the pool by the installers with very little explanation or support by them (pinch a penny out of plant city, not one near me in apollo beach). Pentair switched to pentair home to run the pool system, nothing but problems with the app as there has been no support from pentair as well. Now the salt cell will not light up and I tried a new 10 amp fuse (plastic with two pins). Nothing on it works but pump, light, and heater work fine. The local pinch a penny only sells Hayward as he does not like pentair at all. I need help!

What is your problem with your IChlor?

Is your iChlor connected to the RS-485 comm port in your IntelliConnect?

Have you properly setup the equipment you have connected to the IntelliConnect in the app?

The pinch a penny plant city people installed the equipment so the assumption is it was correctly installed. I have all components on the app, the light, pump, and heater all work fine, salt cell shows as the ichlor30 but it is not lite up when pump is on like it used to. Not sure if it is the app or something else. The pinch a penny near me does not sell pentair, he states they are cheaply made? And the ichlor30 is used often for new builds as it is cheap.

When switching from Link2O to Pentair Home, you run a program to update the Intelliconnect firmware. Did you do that? When I made the change, the Pentair update server was having problems, and it took maybe four attempts over several days. There is a warning message that after updating, Link2O will no longer work.
