Is it normal to hear random noises as an above ground metal wall pool fills for the first time? Not constant noises, I just noticed as I was outside working that I would hear little noises coming from the pool. It has about 2.5’ of water in it, filling only during direct sunlight.

You might be hearing the vinyl stretching and metal support posts/rails creaking a bit as it all settled from the weight.
Yeah it kinda sounds like maybe the noise of the metal wall pushing out to expand against the posts as the water reaches different levels. A couple posts had a slight space between wall and post and that’s corrected now on the lower section with water. Just don’t recall our former intex making a noise, but I’m sure it did.
