I am trying to setup njs-poolcontroller... I have no intellichem or pentair equipment..
My other pool equipment has been running continually during the season, and I'm not planning to, at least at the outset, to control them with this... I really just want to sense and auto-feed the pH/ORP adjustments (with bleach, I'm not converting to SWG yet).
The docs are pretty explicit that you need the RS485 and it seems to actually have some equipment at the other end talking to it for the system to initialize... is that actually the case? And if not, is there a flag to disable that RS485 functionality ? I'm a bit confused as some parts of the (many) threads say you can build it without the intellichem/pentair stuff.
