I have a new Coleman above ground pool with Power Steel sides. I hooked up a new Intex SX2100 pool pump today, and I am getting no power to the pump. The GFCI plug has a flashing green light, and the reset/test buttons are not working. I plugged in to another receptacle in the house with the same issue. Is this a faulty plug? Thanks

@abbotsfordcoach ...I have no clue and it's a shot in the dark but have you checked the main electrical panel to see if the circuit breakers tested correspond for amperage tolerance to the SX2100 recommended size? It probably is 20Amp but I'm not sure specifically. Just trying to help! My pool hasn't even arrived yet haha! by the way, small town, small world, we live in the same neck of the woods 
(Fvalley) also, I highly doubt the pumps are "serviceable" but if there was a way to see if you could manually shift/move the impeller to see if it has any movement (unplugged obviously) that could indicate if the pump itself is having issues or motor etc... although it could go either way... electric motor may lock out without power so impeller won't move or if it does move freely it could be an indicator somethings broken too haha... just something to research maybe... helping with ideas as I'll have that same pump arriving shortly for my pool.

I wonder if it's detecting a fault in your home wiring. Take it to a friend's house and try it.
Otherwise yeah it's probably defective. You can buy in-line GFCI units so just cut that one off and stick a plug on it to use one of those. Definitely do NOT skip the GFCI though.

GFCI plugs go bad quit often. If it is a new pump, I'd replace the GFCI receptacle...particularly if the test and reset don't work <---typical indicator the GFCI receptacle is bad.
