So this has been my first foray into repairs in which I have to drain the filter. I’m pretty sure I know the answer to this, and I’ve heard this about pro-series filters generally, but I just want to make doubly sure. The S220T has an auto pressure relief, right? I’ve never come across a pressure relief valve anywhere on the filter before and it’s not in the schematic. I just want to hear confirmation from someone else here because I don’t want to get a call from the FAA about my filter lacking airworthiness certification.

Went ahead and started it up. Quite a bit of air purging through the returns the past ten minutes. I take it that’s part of the process.
