Hello everyone!
As my name suggests I am visually impaired so I have attempted finding this information on my own and I am resorting to asking now LOL
I am doing a no drain acid wash on a plaster pool in ground it will be followed by a full drain to get my cya and phosphate levels under control.
First tests
13000 gallon pool
pH 7.2
Ch 700
TDs 1500
Cya 290
Phosphates 700
Ta 80
As tested by Leslie's and yes I am a naughty boy for using trichlor pucks and I cannot do my own water testing because of my poor eyesight
Day one I added 4 gallons of 31% muriatic acid and brushed for 2 days with the pump off and Rags stuffed into all of my intakes because I have old copper pipes in ground saw some lightning but the bulk of the scale was not going anywhere LOL so I took the water down to Leslie's and they tested the ta at 50.
So on day three I added another 4 gallons of ma 31% and have been brushing for roughly 24 hours now decided to get my pinpoint pH meter out to test the pH and it is around 3.6 should I add some baking soda to bring it up? Have I added way too much acid?
