Next step after SLAM ????

The SLAM is over and these are my readings:

FC 12 (and dropping)
CC 0
TA 90
PH 7.3
CYA 40
Salt 2900

I know I need to increase CYA to 70 and that the CYA will lower the PH, but what about the TA - do I wait a week after CYA is in range? Also, we have NOT backwashed since SLAM ended (yesterday) since we had added stabilizer to get to SLAM of 40 (added on 7/25)

I would put your CYA in and wait. Your SWG may start causing PH to rise in which case you may want to adjust TA down a bit.

Thanks - so no to the backwash before adding stabilizer? Note - we had very little visible algae when SLAM began only on pool ladder!

you can if it makes you feel better

But generally the advice is to back was when your filter pressure is 25% above your "clean" operating pressure.
