Newer model intex robot hose incompatible with standard pvc threads?

I bought a replacement robot of the same intex one i had for years. I opened it to find that the newer one which looks the same, has a different single piece of hose

The old one has the sectional one that submerges and it screws right onto my standard pvc (1.5" i think) just fine. (i dont attach to the eyelit, i have the eyelit split via pvc to two different spots, one to the eyelit one to a pvc up ontop of the pool for the robot).

This new one just has insertable push on style pieces on each end. For now ive made the old hose work with a bracket that i tightened near the robot.
Any thoughts as to possible ways to make the new hose work? I had bought one other adapter off amazon thinking it would help but i cant see how to make it work either:

EDIT: on second thought, i forgot this new robot came with one adapter to replace the eyelit cover, so possibly fitting on the eyelit adapter that i ordered off amazon, i need to retest and see, though i think the threads are wrong, needed to be female (on the end that goes to the pvc).

Thanks in advance
