Newbie with pump question

Hi all. I have a feeling this question has been asked/answered, so please forgive me for the likely repeat. We have set up an Intex 15' x 48" metal frame pool. We bought the Intex Sand Filter 1500 to use instead of the cartridge pump that came with the pool. Does anyone know of a good video or "how to" to help us figure out any additional parts we may need? I know I've read the hoses are 1.25" on the cartridge pump and the sand filter hoses are 1.5". Any advice and suggestions you may have would be appreciated. It's surprising to me there are SO MANY ways things can be done and no one specific way.

By simply swapping the cart filter to the sand, both being Intex, I thought they would be interchangable for connections. If not, could you share some pics of the items you are trying to connect together?

Thank you so much for your offer. I think I may have figured it out. Since we bought the pump separately from the pool, it didn't quite come with everything...or at least that is what I'm noticing. I found a video that I think was what I needed and the parts should be here tomorrow. I may be back on here asking for help when I try to put it all together. Talk about a humbling experience. LOL
